Planning and implementing an onboard warehouse

Participated in the design, planning and implementation of a new onboard warehouse aboard Castoro 12, contributing materials-management knowledge to storage arrangements and practical operational requirements.

The project provided experience in translating onboard storage needs into a functioning warehouse environment.

My contribution: Warehouse planning, materials organisation and project coordination.

Building a PPE-allocation database

I identified a gap in personnel-level PPE distribution tracking and designed an MS Access database for onboard allocation records, linked to the existing AMOS inventory information.

This earlier improvement reflects the same practical interest in connecting operational records that now informs my materials-readiness prototypes.

My contribution: Problem identification, database design and practical record linkage.

Equipment recovery through logistics coordination

A company-owned Atlas Copco generator was ashore while Jasper Explorer was at anchorage off Pointe-Noire. I coordinated the return arrangements and promptly escalated a clearance obstacle to the Rig Manager.

The Rig Manager intervened through the shipping agent. The agent arranged the crane and boat, with costs billed to the company, and the generator returned onboard.

My contribution: Logistics coordination, timely escalation and follow-through across offshore management and the port agent.

Resolving an international supplier damage claim

LACOM Germany · International supplier resolution

A high-value roller for a LACOM laminating and coating machine arrived damaged in transit. Customs and excise constraints complicated returning it to Germany.

I coordinated the supplier claim with LACOM Germany, presenting evidence of the equipment’s arrival condition and addressing the complications associated with returning imported equipment.

My career account records securing a replacement without additional charge. A retained LACOM delivery note corroborates a replacement shipment; the no-additional-charge outcome and negotiation history are described in my account. Original commercial records remain private.

My contribution: Evidence-led supplier negotiation, international coordination and resolution of a materials problem under return constraints.

Delivering visual work instructions for the foundry

I planned and coordinated the printing and supply of large work-instruction posters for the PSG Foundry.

The completed work received management appreciation and led to additional orders from other departments, as recorded in my career account.

My contribution: Requirements coordination, delivery follow-through and clear visual communication.

Developing team capability and follow-up routines

I trained and managed the sales team, organised group learning sessions and introduced consistent follow-up on targets and opportunities.

This work strengthened my experience of team development, accountability and cross-functional coordination in an industrial environment.

My contribution: Training, structured follow-up and team coordination.

Identifying a crane-track failure and coordinating service

I identified and reported a failure in the overhead gantry crane running track, stopped crane operations and arranged third-party servicing.

My role connected the reported defect, operational follow-up and specialist service coordination. Technical repair was a team and third-party activity.

My contribution: Defect recognition, stopping the affected activity and coordinating specialist follow-up.

Organising the response to a fuel-oil tank leak

Following a fuel-oil tank leak, I worked with the team to inspect and identify the problem, then planned and organised third-party servicing, repair activities and certification.

Engineering personnel and specialist providers carried out the technical work. My contribution was maintenance planning, coordination and follow-through through servicing and certification.

My contribution: Connecting inspection findings, repair planning and third-party requirements.

Turning inspection photographs into a management report

Following discussion with senior marine and engineering staff, the Chief Engineer, Bosun and marine crew carried out a GoPro inspection concerning fishing nets at the thrusters.

I processed the photographs and prepared an investigation report to support management review and escalation.

My contribution: Inspection-evidence processing and management reporting; the marine and engineering team carried out the inspection.
